The 2012 Washington Auto Show shifted into gear Friday. The convention, one of the most popular and widely attended in Washington, D.C., will feature more than 700 new vehicles from 32 domestic and foreign manufacturers, reports The Washington Business Journal.

Junior Speedskating Championships
First up, head to Prince William Ice Center to catch the National Junior Speedskating Championships. Racing will take place starting Friday and goes through Saturday. Admission is free. Winners from this event will represent the U.S. in Australia.

RICHMOND – Virginians are one step closer to being able to hunt on Sundays. On a 29-11 vote Thursday, the Senate passed a bill that would allow Sunday hunting on private land.
