The Manassas Railway Heritage Festival is coming down the tracks this year.
This year’s event will mark the 26th time the festival has been held in the city, which celebrates the history of the railroads. The festival will include model train displays, memorabilia, specialty vendors, as well as live performances.
Rebecca Barnes is the publisher of Prince William Living and Brides and Weddings magazines. A lifelong resident of Prince William County, he’s also the founder of Give-Back Prince William, a non-profit focused on improving county residents’ quality of life.

The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is offering a spring break scavenger hunt.
Participants will have the chance to explore the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park, on the grounds of the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, and safely enjoy the spring weather while learning about the history of the Marine Corps.

While there won’t be the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House this year, the Easter Bunny will visit Prince William County’s Coles District.
Supervisor Yesli Vega says she will restart the annual tradition of holding an Easter Egg Hunt at Coles Elementary School, located at 7405 Hoadly Road. The event will be held from Saturday, April from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families are invited, and light refreshments will be served.

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative and its employee-led nonprofit organization, NOVEC Hands Engaged in Local Public Service (NOVEC HELPS), donated $6,000 recently to six area shelters that help victims of domestic abuse and $1,000 to the House of Mercy in Manassas to help provide diapers for more than 300 low-income families.
“It’s important to us to leverage our connections in the community,” states Heather Anderson, NOVEC system engineering manager and NOVEC HELPS activities coordinator. “We want to give in a way that helps families.”

The Comcast RISE program was launched in 2020 and is part of a $100 million initiative to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. RISE, which stands for Representation, Investment, Strength, and Empowerment, was developed to support, strengthen and empower black, indigenous, and people of color small businesses.
