Novant Health UVA Health System, an integrated network of physician clinics, outpatient services, and medical centers in northern and central Virginia, recently added a new orthopedics practice to expand its specialized spine care.

Novant Health UVA Health System Spine Orthopedics – Manassas, which is located within the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics on Rolling Road, will provide a range of minimally invasive treatment options for orthopedic conditions that affect the lower back, upper back, and neck, including herniated discs and spinal stenosis.

The Prince William Chamber is strongly opposed to the Department of Labor and Industry’s COVID-19 regulations becoming permanent. In a time where some reports estimate that 20-25% of businesses will close forever, these regulations threaten to drive those numbers even higher.

Businesses, especially small businesses, are already struggling to survive these hard economic times and these regulations only increase the burden on them. The business community had no real input when they were originally drafted and developed and when they were put in place. The regulations were developed too quickly and are incredibly broad in scope.

A new small-batch bakery has opened in the in a fast-growing industrial corridor of Prince William County.

Bakefully Yours is a bakery with a health-conscious mission: to supply gluten-free, vegan and paleo desserts, in hopes of providing sweets for everyone, no matter what dietary restrictions one may have, according to a press release from the Prince William County Department of Economic Development. The bakery has has been supplying the Washington, D.C. region with its healthy treats for the past four years and now serves 100 stores in the mid-Atlantic region.

Northern Virginia Community College is partnering with the City of Manassas, Prince William County, Virginia Career Works, and the SkillSource Group to ensure that community members affected by coronavirus are able to get back to work by receiving free education and workforce support services.

Manassas and Prince William County’s leadership forged this strategic partnership with a combined $1,900,000 in funding from the CARES Act to launch the ELEVATE program to provide free resources for those displaced workers. Additionally, this funding supports businesses in upskilling their workforce.
