While the City remained insulated from major shocks in its office market coming out of the pandemic, the first half of 2023 showed signs that change may be coming.

In Historic Downtown Manassas, a new shop called Black Metal Mercantile has opened. The store opened in April at the 1,300-square-foot retail space at 9082 Center Street.

The Pitkin’s hardware story starts in Upstate New York (Schroon Lake) during the 1950’s with Lawrence J. Pitkin (“Larry”). Larry owned a small hardware store called Pitkin Hardware.
