Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye will hold a town hall meeting to discuss the proposed Hoadly Square development.

The meeting will address the request to rezone approximately 56 acres of land between Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway near Woodbridge. The developer, JR Real Estate Group, submitted the rezoning request to the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in January 2024.


Adam, the valet parking coordinator, stands out front on opening day on Friday, July 19, overlooking a newly paved lot, driveway, and entrance to the new hotel. “It’s fully open,” he said. There are a few parking spots out front, but the hotel has more parking in the parking garage across the street.

The Publisher is part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio, managed locally by Ragland at Greenwood Hospitality. The 98-room hotel features penthouse suites, guest rooms, 2,000 square feet of event space, and dining facilities in the Five Chophouse restaurant. The hotel rooms are called “upscale,” the lowest-priced room on the website is a Traditional King Room at the Member Rate, which is flexible for $246 a night. The rates topped out at $409 per night for a King Suite.

SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt, located at 10077 Market Circle in Manassas, is now open for business. The grand opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, welcoming the community to enjoy a variety of frozen yogurt options.

Lulu Trotter, the owner of SweetFrog, shared her journey to opening the new location. “My husband and I initially were going to buy the Ashburn location, but we ended up driving down to see the Manassas one and just fell in love. So we bought it.”


The Manassas Dunkin (8985 Centreville Road) is celebrating 25 years with a 25-cent donut offer with a purchase tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 3).

From 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, guests who make a purchase will also get a 25-cent donut. Throughout the day, Manassas Dunkin’ customers will also receive a coupon for a $1 medium iced coffee.

Ryan Fochler, founder of Bark + Boarding, shared insights into the company’s growth and services during a recent interview. The company, which began as a dog-walking service, has expanded to offer a wide range of services, including daycare, boarding, grooming, training, socialization, and retail. “It’s really pretty much everything now except veterinary services,” Fochler explained.

Champions FC Training Center will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new multi-sports complex in Stafford on August 23. The facility will feature soccer fields, basketball courts, a speed agility center, strength training, wrestling, and martial arts training.
