Virginia transportation officials have been studying the entire 179-mile stretch of Interstate 95 in Virginia, looking for ways to ease the highway’s notorious congestion.

An employee at a Dick’s Sporting Goods store near Manassas said the truck arrived early Wednesday, just hours after the Washington Nationals clinched the National League division title the night before.

Hopes dashed for a quick halt to new Rural Crescent policies

Residents filled the Prince William County Government Center on Tuesday night to oppose any new sewer lines in the Rural Crescent, an area of land between Quantico Marine Corps Base and Manassas National Battlefield.

Muslim Association condemns CASA in Action for attack on Yesli Vega

Cell phone video posted to social media shows a woman accosting Vega at a community festival on Saturday at the Muslim Association of Virginia Community Center on Hoadly Road in Woodbridge.

The woman on the video who accosted Vega identified herself as being associated with CASA in Action, an organization that bills itself as the largest group of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic advocating for the rights of immigrants.

Stafford leaders push for ped path under I-95

The Board of Supervisors is urging the Virginia Department of Transportation to include a pedestrian path underneath a new bridge built to carry Interstate 95 traffic over Route 17.

Why it matters: A pedestrian path would allow people who live across the six-lane Route 17 to walk from their neighborhood in Olde Forge across the road to a shopping center anchored by a Target Store.

Anderson, Angry want to improve traffic flow on Prince William Parkway

The Ruth Anderson and Victor Angry, the Occoquan and Neabsco District Supervisors on the Board of County Supervisors, respectively, ordered County Executive Christopher Martino to look at intersection improvements along the road that traverses the county.

Why it matters: Prince William Parkway is a major thoroughfare linking Interstates 95 and 66, and it’s littered with signal lights that slow and stop the flow of traffic.

It’s using a new device that is supplied by a firm called Entrupy to examine designer handbags.

“…the prevalence of fake items is a serious problem, as fakes have gotten so good over the years and purchasing a fake item is a large risk for a store owner,” Pawn USA spokeswoman Cory Brown told Potomac Local.
