Looking for a night of laughs and great craft beer? Amazon Prime comedian Zane Lamprey is bringing his ANOTHER ROUND! comedy tour to Ornery Beer Company near Manassas on Sunday, March 16, from 8 – 9:30 p.m. This event is strictly 21+ and features a brand-new stand-up set full of hilarious stories and jokes.
Schedule:
The staff and volunteers at the Prince William County Animal Services Center can’t stop raving about Roxy: “She’s such a sweet girl,” “She’s so gentle,” and “Roxy is such a great dog!” This affectionate pup is looking for a loving family after experiencing a difficult transition.
Roxy was a cherished pet, but when her family lost their job and had to relocate out of state, they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. She previously lived with children—ages 4 and 12—and was great with them most of the time. However, since younger kids may struggle with boundaries and gentle touch, she would likely thrive best in a home with children aged 7 or older.
Local leaders will decide on a Davis Ford Road church proposal, while the Haymarket Islamic Center seeks approval for a new place of worship. Plus, Fairfax County Police investigate a fatal crash in Centreville, and Trump nominates Hung Cao for a top Navy position.
This year’s milestone celebration will take place on Thursday, March 6th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fairgrounds.
The first Oyster Roast began as a fundraiser in 1985, led by White Oak Equipment founder Frank McCarty, to raise donations for an employee battling cancer. This turned into a time-honored tradition for individuals facing hardship.
Three of Old Dominion Humane Society’s longest residents—Crash, Ziggy, and Butterscotch—have patiently waited for their forever homes, watching hundreds of other dogs find loving families. Together, they have spent a total of 1,620 days in the rescue facility or with foster families, and ODHS is determined to find them the perfect match.
Ziggy – With a big personality packed into a 15-pound frame, Ziggy has been at ODHS for 600 days, since July 15, 2023. He’s well-mannered, loves belly rubs, and listens to commands. He thrives in an adult-only home where his adopter can maintain strict boundaries. While he wears a tiny muzzle in public, he’s a volunteer favorite for his affectionate nature and playful energy.
Workhouse Arts Center is bringing Clyde’s by Lynn Nottage to the stage from March 8 to April 6, 2025. This heartwarming and comedic play follows a group of formerly incarcerated kitchen staff on a journey of redemption as they strive to craft the perfect sandwich under their tough boss’s rule. Performances will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m., with a special understudy performance on March 29 and an audience talkback on March 30.
