Annabelle Roberta Groover was born in April 26, 1927 to Harry Holmes and Mary Kinchloe of Manassas, VA. She died peacefully in her home on May 17, 2021. She is survived by her daughters Betty Carol Sampson, Wanda Sue Russell, Paula Kay Parker (Frank), Bonnee Annabelle Groover, Donna Jean Kelleher (Michael), and son Roy Allan Groover; her many grandchildren who meant the world to her, Paul Frank Garavaglia III, Aarron Scott Groover, Frank Parker III, Robin Anne Krohn, Christina Nicole Boyd, Michael Coy Parker, Byron Wayne Groover, Christopher R. A. “Bobby” Groover, and Emily Katherine Kelleher; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Byron Coy Groover Sr.; her parents Mary Kinchloe and Harry Holmes; sons Byron Coy Jr. and Ray Harry; daughters Nancy Lee Garavaglia and Connie Lynn Fletcher; and several grandchildren.
Help sought in auto parts con, armed robbery
Armed Robbery *ASSISTANCE REQUESTED – Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are asking for the community’s help identifying the suspect involved in the robbery that occurred near Tayloe Dr. and Gordon Dr. in the Manassas area of Prince William County on May 11. During the incident, the suspect took a 36- year-old man’s money while holding him at gunpoint and then fled in a white SUV. During the investigation, detectives obtained a photo of the suspect and his vehicle from a nearby business. The photos are being made publicly available in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Charlotte Louise (Kunz) Kirsch (Liz), passed away on May 9, 2021, in the Manassas, VA residence that she called home for the last 53 years.
She was born September 16, 1926 in Erie, PA, the youngest daughter of the late Anton and Margaret Daniels Kunz. Her marriage to John Mitchell Kirsch (Jack), her childhood sweetheart, on August 9, 1948, lasted almost 73 years until his recent passing on April 22, 2021. During Jack’s 27 year tenure as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Kirsches were stationed in Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Pittsburgh, PA; and finally Quantico, VA. It was often up to Mrs. Kirsch to pack up and sell the house and then move her three children to the next location after Jack had been transferred and had gone ahead to his next assignment.
