On December 17th, 2020 Delois Ann Harris Transitions to her heavenly home, at Novant Health UVA Prince William Medical Center. Delois Ann Harris was born on January 10, 1954 in Alexandria VA, to the late Frederick Sr and Mary Davis Griffith. Delois was the youngest of 9 children, she was well known by her nickname DeeDee. Safety permeates every aspect of the Virginia Railway Express (VRE). It guides all actions and decisions by staff, train crews, maintenance workers, and the Operations Board. For its holistic approach to safety, VRE is the 2020 recipient of the Virginia Transit Association’s (VTA) Exceptional Safety Award.

“Safety is foremost in VRE’s mission statement,” said VRE Operations Board Chairman Gary Skinner. “If VRE service isn’t safe, being cost-effective, accessible, reliable, convenient and comfortable doesn’t matter. Safety is more than a philosophy at VRE. It is a culture.”


Prince William

Prince William County Service Authority customers who have unpaid water bills from March 1, 2020, through December 30, 2020, and who have experienced a loss of income due to the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic may be eligible to receive financial assistance funded by the COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program.

Customers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, but no later than January 21, 2021, at 5 p.m.
