Getting a COVID-19 Vaccine? Did you have a flu shot, shingles shot, or another vaccine 14 days before or after?

Warning — Do Not Schedule Other Vaccines 14 Days Before or After Your COVID-19 Vaccine:

Due to safety concerns, the CDC recommends not taking multiple vaccines within 14 days.
Prince William Health District (PWHD) is unable to vaccinate individuals who have received another vaccination, such as flu or shingles, within 14 days before scheduled COVID-19 vaccination.

PWHD recommends that patients do not schedule other vaccinations within 14 days after receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.*

* Patients may receive emergency vaccinations (such as rabies and tetanus) within 14 days after COVID-19 vaccination. However, if a patient receives emergency vaccination before COVID-19 vaccination, PWHD will require the patient to wait 14 days.

Manuel Alberto Pardo Garcia

Manuel Alberto Pardo Garcia born May 11, 1953 in Santiago, Chile.  Manuel eventually made his way to the United States in the late 1970’s.  He was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed watching his family, friends and played in his younger years.  He worked as an Engineer for PEPCO for over 30+ years and was loved by his co-workers.  Manuel was a wonderful passionate human being and enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was always the first person on the dance floor and the last to leave, especially if it was Rock-n-Roll, oldies and/or cumbia.  He loved business especially making money, making people laugh with his corny dad jokes or one of his many talents.  He loved spending time in the great outdoors with his family.  He was full of life and felt young; always saying that age was just a number and he was a kid at heart. On the 21st of January 2021, he was called home to be with God. He will be missed by so many; especially his wife, children, and his grandchildren.

Manuel is survived by Hilda Benitez, Vivian Arias, Miguel Arias, Josh Pardo, Kyle Pardo. He is predeceased by Manuel Alberto Pardo Ayala and his little brother

Last year, through the budget process, Stafford funded $1.6 million to community partners. Additionally, the County granted nearly $500,000 in CARES Act money to community partners to sustain them during the pandemic.

"We have a very hands-on approach with our community partners. We get to know them and understand their programming and initiatives. We monitor their outcomes to ensure they are addressing community needs," said Deputy County Administrator Donna Krauss, who also oversees Stafford's Human Services office. "When the pandemic worsened, affecting incomes, mental health and other social issues, we were confident we could count on our partners."

These partners often fill the gap when citizens do not meet the County's eligibility for federally and state-mandated services. Community partners provide the needed support for Stafford’s citizens struggling to be successful. In 2020, community partners included EmpowerHouse, Habitat for Humanity, Healthy Families Rappahannock Area, S.E.R.V.E. and Stafford Junction.

Upon activating the vehicle’s emergency lights, the suspect vehicle accelerated driving towards the on-ramp to I-95 north. Deputy Martinez pursued the vehicle onto I-95 where the vehicle continued to speed. As the vehicle approached exit 143, it slowed and began to maneuver towards the exit ramp. The organization saw 20 new families begin the program in the last six months, compared to seven during the same timeframe the previous year. The organization assisted in more than 100 adoptions overall last year, providing critical pre-placement, placement and post-placement assistance to families in crisis and potential adoptive and foster parents.

“Families are the central building block of our communities,” said Stephen Carattini, President and CEO, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. “For three-quarters of a century, Catholic Charities’ adoption services have provided critical support to families in crisis and those working to build loving forever families. We know our work supporting the selfless, loving parents who open their arms to welcome these children has a life-long impact on the children and an immeasurable impact on the broader community.”
