A woman arrested in Stafford is wanted in connection to a murder in Woodbridge.

Police said the woman was detained by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges after a man was pronounced dead at a home in the 14823 block of Statler Drive in Woodbridge, just off Cardinal Drive.

Every Year on the second Saturday of December, Wreaths Across America performs a ceremony to pay tribute to our Fallen Veterans by placing hand made wreaths from Maine on the veterans grave sites.

This year the ceremony will be on December 12 at noon at Oak Hill cemetery located at 1902 Plank Road Fredericksburg.

Manassas Church of the Brethren joyfully announces the call of North Dell’Uomo North to serve as Pastor of Faith Formation beginning October 1, 2015.

North has a passion for the faith formation of youth and young adults as they recognize, explore, and strengthen their relationship with God in Christ. She has worked as a volunteer with youth and children ministries at Manassas Church of the Brethren since 2007 and as Coordinator of Youth Ministries (2008-2009) and Coordinator of Special Ministries (2010-2011).

Students at Potomac Senior High School came together to host their annual Community Day event to benefit a late teacher. 

A portion of the proceeds made during Community Day will go to the family of Potomac history teacher, Leonard Valko, 47, who passed away earlier this year from a heart attack.

A 22-year-old man was shot by police Wednesday.

Officers were called to a home in the 7600 block of Lake Drive near Manassas. The woman said her dog began barking at a man who was hiding in her bushes. The man left once seen, and the woman dialed 911.
