STAFFORD — (Press Release) Stafford County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Janis Streich, Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development of Stafford County Public Schools, received the inaugural Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) Council Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Award for her career leading innovation in instruction and technology in Virginia. Dr. Streich’s work around the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher model has contributed to innovation through the state.

Dr. Streich, a leader in Virginia educational technology for over 20 years, is a former elementary classroom teacher and served as the assistive technology coordinator in Stafford County Public Schools during the early 2000s.

Horrific headlines of devastating mass injuries seem to be commonplace these days. That’s why Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, along with the American College of Surgeons and Department of Homeland Security are teaming up to provide a program to make sure our communities are better prepared. It’s called, Stop the Bleed.

“Stop the Bleed is a program which was created to help teach community members to respond to emergent medical events like hemorrhage control,” explains Dynette Rombough, RN, BSN, CPEN, Trauma Program Manager at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.

MANASSAS — (Press Release)  VetPar is pleased to announce the final details for the 10th Annual Northern Virginia Veterans Parade.

The parade will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 11 a.m. and will honor the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion. This year’s Grand Marshal is former American Legion and Virginian Commander Dan Dellinger.
