WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) Firefighters responded to the report of a house fire at 1422 Horner Road in Woodbridge. Crews arrived within minutes and reported fire in the attic of the house. The fire was extinguished within minutes.
The Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the fire was caused by faulty wiring. The Red Cross was called to assist four residents who were displaced by the fire. Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, and PWC DF&R responded to the incident.
A Virginia State Senator representing Prince William and Stafford counties was chosen Minority Caucus Whip.
Scott Surovell (D-36) will replace the outgoing Jennifer Wexton, who was elected to Congress earlier this month, as the Democratic caucus whip.
DALE CITY — (Press Release) On November 21 at 8:08 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Labourn Drive in Dale City to investigate a shooting.
The investigation revealed that the victim and the accused, who are husband and wife, were inside their home in the above area when they became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
STAFFORD — (Press Release) Two suspects behind the homicide that occurred on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Exxon Station/Mr. B’s Market on Warrenton Road in Stafford County were taken into custody on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in the area of Harrisburg, Pa. with the aid of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Jules Morgan, 18, of Henrico was wanted out of Stafford for second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) The Prince William County Board of Supervisors announced Raul Torres as the new Executive Director of the Human Rights Office. Torres comes to Prince William County after 19 years as the Assistant County Manager for Arlington County overseeing human rights, EEO and ADA.

STAFFORD — (Press Release) Stafford County Fire and Rescue has hired Allen Baldwin to be its Assistant Chief of Operations. Baldwin is currently the Fire Chief of the Winchester, Va. Fire and Rescue Department.

DALE CITY — One man is charged after someone backed a truck into a 7-Eleven store in Dale City and grabbed the store’s ATM.
The smash and grab happened at 4:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the convenience store at 14797 Darbydale Avenue.
STAFFORD COUNTY — The Thanksgiving holiday weekend turned deadly on the roads after two people died in a crash on Route 1.
The wreck occurred in the 3700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, just north of Garrisonville Road at 11:06 a.m. when a 2002 Nissan Xterra that was traveling north on Route 1 when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound 1993 Jeep Cherokee. The Nissan was then struck by a northbound 2018 Ford Super Duty truck, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
