MANASSAS – (Press Release) Kelly McGinn, a Manassas mom, advocate, and community leader, has announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 13th House District, which encompasses parts of Prince William County and the City of Manassas Park.

“Richmond has been in the national headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2019. I’m running for Delegate to be your voice for common sense leadership. I want to represent the 13th District to make it the best place to live and work in Virginia,” said McGinn.

(Press release) — Spring is in the air, and with it, registration for Bike to Work Day (BTWD) 2019, organized by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), is now open.

Thousands are expected to register and participate in this year’s event on Friday, May 17, which will feature 115 pit stops across the region with refreshments, giveaways—and the chance to win one of many new bicycles as part of a free raffle. Additionally, the first 20,000 registrants to attend will receive a free T-shirt.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) A wanted suspect was arrested on Friday by a K9 unit with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after crashing into a police cruiser and fleeing from law enforcement.

On March 8, 2019, Deputy Demirci and his K9 partner, Steel, observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Shasta Place and Newcastle Place. The deputy recognized the driver as a wanted suspect named Jamaunta Mcqueen, 23, of Triangle, VA.

Olmstead is a former Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney and current criminal law attorney in private practice with his wife Sevda.


WOODBRIDGE — (Press release) Travelers and locals will once again be able to look for the iconic Potomac Mills sign along Interstate 95. Potomac Mills mall announced today that the reconstruction of the local landmark is officially underway, with completed installation anticipated later this month. 

“The Potomac Mills sign that stands tall on I-95 has been a staple in our community for many years,” said Jen Snitselaar, General Manager, Potomac Mills Mall. “The new design and updated structure will give the sign a new feel, while still honoring the tradition it brings to the area.”
