STAFFORD – (Press Release) Multiple suspects were arrested early Sunday morning by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office following a disturbance at a local hotel.
On March 3, 2019, at approximately 1:34 a.m., 1st Sgt. Neuhard responded to reports of a fight in progress at the Clarion Inn located at 564 Warrenton Road. Upon arrival, he observed approximately one hundred people dispersing in the parking lot. He also observed Deputy Wright speaking with a male subject who was bleeding from his head.

WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) Murder Investigation – On March 3 at 12:39AM, officers responded to the area of Rippon Blvd. and Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting.
The investigation revealed that while in a nearby parking lot the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument that escalated. During the encounter, a firearm was brandished and the victim was shot.
WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) Today, former Virginia Delegate Richard L. (Rich) Anderson announced his candidacy for the 51st House District. A 30-year Air Force colonel, Anderson retired from active military service in early 2009 and was elected in November of that year to the Virginia General Assembly, where he served for eight years, from 2010 to 2018.
A native Virginian, Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Webster University. He is a graduate of the Air War College and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia, where he sits on the Sorensen Statewide Advisory Board.

RICHMOND — It may be a bit chilly out to zip around on a scooter, but eventually the Birds will migrate back — and could soon fly under new rules.
HB 2752, introduced by Del. Todd Pillion, R-Washington, passed the General Assembly Thursday and heads to the governor to sign. The bill gives local governments the authority to regulate vendors of dockless, motorized scooters and also updates state law regarding operation of the devices.
RICHMOND — While most people go to church to worship, security expert Chernoh Wurie goes to worship and protect. He leads security at Hill City Church in the Richmond area.
A bill to allow weapons, including firearms, within places of worship died in the House last week. SB 1024, introduced by Sen. Richard Black, R-Loudoun, passed the Senate along party lines, 21-19, but died in the House Rules Committee. The bill sought to repeal a law on the books since the 1950s.
