Since 2009, officials with the Prince William Park Authority have discussed remodeling the Skate Park at Veterans Memorial Park in Woodbridge.

Prince William County, Va. — The American Wartime Museum slated to be built in Dale City will host an open house this weekend.
Museum officials have invited residents to Nokesville in western Prince William County to see demonstrations of tanks and flame throwers, and to learn more about a planned museum that aims to recreate the wartime experience for the public.
Three hundred sixty five structure fires have caused over $9 million in loss and damages at colleges since 2000 in Virginia. Many student houses and dorms at your school might not have adequate automatic sprinklers or fire alarm systems. Regularly testing fire and smoke detectors is the first smart action you can take at any new location you move to.
Fire and rescue crews were called about 2:30 a.m. to the 14700 block of Dodson Drive for a fire on the roof of the home, initial reports indicate. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze and there have been no reports of anyone injured.
The cause of the fire was confirmed this morning by Prince William fire and rescue Battalion Chief Joseph Robertson.
Hi Mart, a former K-Mart store with many different vendors has changed its name to B-Thrifty.
Located at Station Plaza across the Woodbridge Virginia Railway Express station, the new store describes itself as a super thrift store and international bazaar.

Dumfries, Va. — The historic Weems-Botts Museum in Dumfries has volunteer opportunities for anyone who wants to help at the museum or with events.
If you had lived in the center of the City of Berlin fifty years ago this month you would have been awakened by the sound of construction equipment and workmen building a wall.
But this would not be an ordinary wall built to protect someone’s garden from rabbits or deer. This wall was built to keep people in and it would become one of the most visible manifestations of tyrannical cruelty ever erected in the modern world.
The Boys and Girls Club in Dumfries this fall will hold a before and after school childcare program for ages 6 to 14-years-old. An annual membership to the club is $30, and with more participants the club plans to add new programs.
“As enrollment grows they plan to offer additional programming including a general after school program, open gym nights for ‘tweens’ and various mentoring programs with community partners,” said Greater Prince William Girls and Boys Clubs spokeswoman April Chervenka.
