The 28-year-old male tow truck driver pulled up to an illegally-parked car in the 16600 block of Galt Court in the Georgetown Village neighborhood off U.S. 1 in Woodbridge when he was approached by three men at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
One man said he was the driver of the truck, and when the victim told the driver he was going to tow his car two the men assaulted him. The victim used his cell phone to call police, but the attackers pulled the phone away, stated police documents.
Stafford, Va. — Mountain View High School in Stafford is presenting an original one act play “Blow By Blow: A Modern Morality Play” on Friday Feb. 24th at 7 p.m. It will be followed by an improvisation show by the MVHS Thunder- Acts. Tickets are $5. Half of all proceeds will go to an anti-bullying/ suicide prevention organization.
“Blow by Blow: An Original Morality Play” was conceived and devised and written by the director and cast. It deals with bullying.

North Stafford, Va. — A woman said a pickup driver pulled a gun on her and now two men face charges.
The victim was in the left turn lane of Highpoint Boulevard at Mine Road in North Stafford when a white pickup pulled up beside her. The driver of truck glared at the victim, brandished a gun and then pointed it at her, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Stafford, Va. — Virginia Railway Express will hold a series of public hearings to discuss a proposed three-percent fare increase that could take effect in July.
The fare increase has been built into the commuter railroad’s proposed $88.7 million budget for fiscal 2013, which starts July 1.
Stafford, Va. — An ongoing effort to explore the addition of an At-large Chairman of the Stafford County Board of Supervisors took another turn, but not before lengthy debate on the issue.
The Board on Tuesday voted to create a panel that would study the feasibility of creating such a position – a Chairman that would be elected by voters and would answer to all of Stafford’s 130,000 residents. Sitting members of the Board currently appoint the Chairman who does not serve At-large.

Va. welfare recipients may soon have to take drug tests
WTOP.com reports Virginians who apply for welfare in the future could have to take a drug test.
Prince William County officials said road crews will remove a 30-foot sign on Interstate 95 south at mile post 158, just before the exit for the parkway. The work will begin at 9 p.m.
This latest sign removal comes after crews on Saturday night removed another tall sign on the northbound side of I-95 at Prince William Parkway due to cracked anchor bolts.
