ALEXANDRIA, Va. – MacArthur Taylor, 36, of Dale City, Va., pled guilty Monday to producing child pornography.
Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office; and Charlie T. Deane, Prince William County Chief of Police, made the announcement after the guilty plea was accepted by United States District Judge Anthony J. Trenga.
DUMFRIES, Va. — A driver was pulled from his car this afternoon after it ran off the road near Dumfries.
The crash happened about 3 p.m. in the area of Va. 234 and Waterway Drive, at the entrance to the Montclair neighborhood.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — For the first time in the department’s history, a new policing district will be created for the Prince William County Police Department.
The $912 million 2013 budget passed by county officials this year funds a new police station that will be built at Davis Ford Road and Prince William Parkway. The new Central Police District that will come with the new station will sit in the middle of the county and employ officers who focus on patrolling portions of Dale City, Lake Ridge, Independent Hill and the Lake Jackson area near Manassas.
QUANTICO, Va. — Col. John L. Mayer will pass his duties as commanding officer for the U.S. Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment to Col. Willard A. Buhl during a change of command ceremony June 15 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
Mayer has been the commanding officer of the Wounded Warrior Regiment since July 2010. He has played a pivotal role in the development of the Regiment’s lines of operation, family support plan, and many other programs. Mayer’s vision for the Regiment focused on ensuring that every wounded, ill and injured Marine participated in multiple programs to enhance their recoveries. He has been selected to serve as the chief of staff for amphibious operations for the 1st Division Royal Australian Army.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Expect a week’s worth of overnight closures on the I-95/395 High Occupancy Vehicle lanes.
Crews will close the entire express lanes facility between Dumfries and the Pentagon starting at 8 p.m. through 4 a.m. Tuesday for test boring, utility markings, and survey work for the upcoming conversion of the lanes to toll lanes.

OCCOQUAN, Va. — On Sunday, runners descended on Occoquan for the first-ever Race to Donate Life 5K.
NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A water main in North Stafford burst on Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of Lakewood Drive, in an apartment neighborhood located behind a Wingate Inn on Va. 610.
Public works crews from Stafford County were called to repair the break, and repairs to the water line were said to have been completed about 8 p.m. Sunday. Residual damage to the pavement near the break site still needed to be fixed, according to information provided by Stafford County.
