DUMFRIES, Va. — A Dumfries police officer was taken to a hospital, treated, and released Friday after she was involved in a crash.
It happened on Fraley Boulevard (U.S. 1) at 6:30 p.m., just south of Graham Park Road. Another driver rear-ended the police officer, said Dumfries police Chief Robert Forker.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A sinkhole appeared on U.S. 17 in at Interstate 95 in Stafford County.
A water main broke about at 8 a.m. today, about the same time the sinkhole appeared and that prompted officials to close two northbound lanes of U.S. 17 underneath the I-95 overpass.
