WOODBRIDGE, Va. — First, Prince William Corey Stewart said he wanted to cut both President’s Day and Columbus Day from the list of paid holidays for county employees.

Those are two of 12 paid holidays bestowed on county employees, and cutting them would save money and put the county’s employee calendar more on par with that of the federal government.

The Stafford resident said he used to have a normal life after his time in the Army, and for years was active in the Suzuki Motorcycles Owners Club.
