It seems another restaurant chain has opted to truck in food that was once made in house.

One of my sinful pleasures, Chipotle, is no longer making their tangy honey vinaigrette salad dressing inside the restaurants – this according the manager who asked me to tell him if I liked the new dressing that is now shipped into the restaurant known for its football-sized burritos.

Nearly 70 years after he earned it, an 88-year-old World War II veteran finally received his Bronze Star for Heroism at a ceremony in Congressman Gerry Connolly’s district office in Fairfax County on Friday.

Washington native and current Prince William County resident John “Jack” Faulconer Jr. was an 18-year-old infantryman assigned to a machine gun squad in Patton’s 3rd Army when he landed on Omaha Beach a few weeks after D-Day in 1944. Subsequently, he was severely wounded in a battle that killed two of his squad members.

America’s Promise Alliance named the growing county of 410,000 people one of the best for the third year in a row. The distinction was given to communities in 42 states, and many more were reviewed.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Get ready commuters in Prince William County who use the commuter parking lot at Dumfries Road and U.S. 1 – police will be watching closely starting Monday.

Officers are stepping up enforcement and will target those who park illegally at the busy commuter lot. The effort comes after a rash of complaints to law enforcement about cars that block travel lanes and crosswalks, all creating hazards for pedestrians and other drivers.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — E.J. Levenberry is going to San Antonio to play football for the U.S. Army.

The proud and humble senior linebacker at C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge was accepted to the Army’s All-American Bowl at a ceremony Thursday afternoon. The bowl is dubbed a premiere sporting event where 90 of the nations top high school football athletes have been invited to compete against each other Jan. 5 in front of a national TV audience on NBC.
