The child was born the Woodbridge hospital not on New Year’s Day, but today.

DALE CITY, Va. — A hockey great is coming to the Prince William Ice Center this weekend.
Jeremy Roenick, a member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame and one of only four American-born players to score over 500 goals in his career in the National Hockey Leauge, will sign copies of his new book at the skate center at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Tonight is the night Woodbridge will have a new representative on the Prince William County School Board.
The eight-member governing body is expected to appoint a new member from a field of interested candidates who spoke last month. The appointee will serve in the position until an election is held – either this spring or later in fall – where voters will decide who will take the job permanently.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — We now know more about what led to the death of Prince William police Officer Chris Yung.
Yung is the third officer on the Prince William force to be killed in the line of duty since the department was founded in 1970.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Human remains found behind a call center for GEICO auto insurance have been sent to Richmond for examination.
Investigators were called about 3 p.m. Monday to a wooded area behind the GEICO office off U.S. 17 in Stafford County to investigate the found remains. They were located by a group of people waking in the woods who then called 911 to report what they had found. The remains were decomposed.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William police are honoring one of their own today.
Black ribbon was draped over the door , police motorcycles and cruisers at the Gar-Field Eastern District Police Station in Woodbridge this morning after the line-of-duty death of 35-year-old Prince William police Officer Chris Yung, who was killed yesterday on Va. 28 near Manassas. Yung, who patrolled on a police motorcycle, collided with a mini-van that was making a left turn into a shopping center at Piper Lane about 2 p.m. Monday.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Volunteers at Leesylvania State Park are putting together care packages for soldiers in honor of the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The care packages are being assembled for Operation Homefront, and various items are needed to fill boxes.
