PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A monster blizzard bearing down on the Northeast has got the attention of power crews in Virginia.
Dominion Virginia Power is sending crews from the state, as well as from their operations in North Carolina, to render help to those expected to be impacted by high winds and snowfall up to three feet between New York City and Boston.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Investigators said a man used a flashlight to batter a woman inside of her home, then went to another home where he was chased out by a man with a gun.
The bizarre incident took place about 1 a.m. Thursday in the Ferry Farm section of Stafford County.
