WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Danielle Sherred was running errands with her mom when they stopped at the Shell station located at 13890 Noblewood Plaza in Woodbridge. She bought two Big Winning Numbers tickets from the Virginia Lottery. They then discovered that one of the tickets was a $250,000 winner.

A 27-year-old cab driver from Woodbridge is charged in the shooting of an Alexandria police officer on Wednesday.
The shooting stemmed from a traffic stop in Alexandria.
Prince William police said a man is charged in the robbery of a Burke and Herbert bank in Woodbridge last weekend.
The man was found in North Carolina, and he’s also wanted in connection to a crime in West Virginia.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The Virginia Department of Transportation’s Megaprojects office produced a video to update on the planned closure and demolition of the Telegraph Road bridge over Interstate 95 as part of the 95 Express Lanes being built between the Capital Beltway and Va. 610 in North Stafford.
