RICHMOND, Va. – During the final hours of Wednesday’s reconvened session, the General Assembly approved a state budget that boosts funding for Virginia’s public schools next year.

Last fall, the Board of Supervisors narrowly voted to tear down the current 285,000 square foot Stafford High School and replace it with a new 275,000 square foot Stafford High School. The estimated cost to Stafford’s taxpayers for this proposal: $66 million.

MANASSAS, Va. — Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington-Manassas is joining other Boys & Girls Clubs across the country in opening its doors to the community during the annual celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week (April 7-13).

In Woodbridge, it took some voters as long as four hours to cast their votes, with poll workers at Potomac Middle School accommodating the final voter in line just before 11 p.m. – four hours after polls had officially closed.
