MANASSAS, Va. — Police at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas are investigating a sexual assault that took place in the college’s parking lot.
Officers on Thursday were notified about the attack, which happened at the campus’ B1 metered parking lot at 2 p.m. Tuesday, where the victim of the assault had been walking.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Police say an arranged meeting between a man and a woman at a Dumfries hotel room led to an armed robbery.
The 23-year-old female victim in the case told police she arranged to meet a man she didn’t know at a Comfort Inn on Old Stage Coach Road. Police were called there at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police say they’ve caught the man who allegedly exposed himself to patrons at Noodles & Company restaurant in Woodbridge.
David Lynn Scriven, 57, was arrested Wednesday on charges of indecent exposure. He was found at a nearby shopping plaza and was arrested without incident, police said.

MANASSAS, Va. – Project Mend a House (PMAH) has a new home for its building supplies and equipment, including its medical equipment to loan. The new location is at 7053 Colchester Park Drive in Manassas.
The penalties for drinking and driving or texting and driving will change Monday, July 1.
Currently, texting while driving is considered a secondary offense, meaning the offender must be stopped for another, separate offense in order to be charged for texting and driving. Under the new law, it will become a primary offense, allowing police to stop drivers suspected of texting or reading text messages while driving.
