FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A crash in Fairfax County claimed the life of a Manassas man early Sunday.
Abraham Aragon, 44, of Soldiers Ridge Circle, was pronounced dead on the scene after Aragon drove his 1993 Mazda MX3 coupe northbound in the southbound lanes of Fairfax County Parkway, just north of Braddock Road, according to police. Several drivers were able to swerve and avoid the Mazda, but the car did strike a 2002 Toyota Avalon head on at 1:40 a.m. Sunday.

Volunteer Opportunities in the Area
· Good morning – Area Agency on Aging needs volunteers to be the front desk receptionist at the Senior Center Adult Day Center in Woodbridge and the Senior center in Manassas. Volunteer shifts are 2-4 hours, once a week in either the morning or afternoon. Duties include a friendly customer service as well as answering the phones and offer tours of the facility. The Department of Public Works Neighborhood Services Division will host the 2013 Homeowner and Condominium Association Leadership Seminar on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the Development Services Building, Room 202, 5 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.

Earlier this week, the Class of 2013 hosted a Labor Day Spectacular for residents, staff and volunteers at the SERVE emergency shelter in Manassas. The event included a free picnic lunch, carnival and video games, face painting, bingo, music, prizes and more.

Stud Muffin is a 2 year old neutered male terrier mix. He has tan, wiry, medium length hair and weighs approx. 20lbs.
