PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Prince William County schools have put their bus schedules for the 2013-14 school year online.

The school division has a website dedicated to providing school bus information, including time the bus arrives, the street on which the bus picks up, as well as express bus service that is provided for students in specialty programs. Copies of the school bus schedule have also been placed in the mail and will be sent to parents, according to school officials.

MANASSAS, Va. — On Wednesday morning, 120 incoming Osbourn High School Freshmen got an up close view of the Manassas Fire and Police Departments in action.

There was never a storm warning issued on Wednesday night, but thunder rolled in the skies over top of our region.

A large electrical storm gathered in the skies over Stafford County just as the sun was setting about 8 p.m. The lightning flashes continued for the next two hours.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Christine Sanders accepted a new job with the Arlington County Attorney’s Office. She’ll step down as the Town Attorney in Dumfries Sept. 8.

During her tenure in the town, Sanders has advised elected leaders and town staff on a host of issues including the opening of Ginn Memorial Park, wranglings over adding a silent moment of reflection at the start of each Town Council Meeting, and during ongoing talks with the Potomac Landfill that wants to keep piling construction debris upward instead of outward.
