John “Johnny Mac” McDonald was buried at Quantico National Cemetery on Friday. But not before he was remembered by his colleagues from the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department, the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department, and several other area fire departments.

The Stafford’s sheriff’s office closed a portion of Va. 610 Friday afternoon as the procession moved its way from Mount Ararat Baptist Church where the memorial service was held to the cemetery.

They have an urgent need for help with inventory at the Thrift Store on June 24th from 8am-noon and at the food pantry on June 26th & 27th from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. NORTH STAFFORD, Va. –– Fire and rescue crews in Stafford County today will honor one of their own.

John “Johnny Mac” McDonald died in the line of duty working as a career Battalion Fire Chief at Washington’s Navy Yard on May 30. When not in Washington, McDonald served as a volunteer fire fighter at Stafford Volunteer Fire Department where he was Fire Chief.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Teens can rely on OmniLink once again this summer to get around town.

The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation is now selling its MyLink pass for teens, formerly known as the teen summer bus pass. The $30 pass is good for unlimited rides on OmniLink local buses that service Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Quantico, Woodbridge, Manassas, and Manassas Park, as well as the Cross-County Connector bus that runs between Manassas and Woodbridge.
