QUANTICO — The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation has announced the launch of its annual Summer Concert Series at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
The series, now in its 10th year, features six concerts over nine weeks with performances from members of the U. S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Army bands.
Good Morning Prince William – Historic Manassas needs volunteers for their Annual Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 15. FREDERICKSBURG – Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) aims to prevent suicide by educating the community on mental health challenges, resources, and ways to help.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death for Americans ages 10 to 34 and the fourth leading cause of death for those ages 35 to 54. In the past few years, suicide rates have continued to climb.
NOKESVILLE — Martin Cervantez, an illustrator who enlisted in the Army Signal Corps in 1986, is opening an exhibit dedicated to the power of art therapy on Saturday, July 13.
The reception will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Receptions are free and open to the public. The exhibit will continue until August 31.
MANASSAS — The Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) has recognized Osbourn High School as a Blue Ribbon School for the 2018-2019 school year.
The award is the highest honor given to school music programs in the state and recognizes school performing arts programs that achieve excellence in Band, Orchestra, and Choral Performance.

FREDERICKSBURG — Discover Your Future is a three-day event hosted by Fredericksburg’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) which will help to connect the future workforce of the community to local businesses.
There are 6,882 CTE students from five high schools including North Stafford High School, Stafford High School, Brooke Point High School, Mountain View High School, and Colonial Forge High School; and 4,509 CTE students from eight middle schools.
WOODBRIDGE – The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Prince William office is collecting food donations for ACTS Food Pantry.
This comes as part of a companywide initiative called Healthy Food Week.
