A 15-year-old is in jail after investigators said he made threats to bomb Brooke Point High School and shoot those at the school.

Stafford authorities were notified of the threat at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 when the school principal called 911. The school administrator told authorities several parents told him the suspect who is a student at the school, had planned to blow up the school and shoot people at the school, according to a statement from the Stafford sheriff’s office.

Stafford County Public Schools has responded after a photo appeared on Instagram of two girls wearing jackets with offensive lettering.

The photo of two students wearing the jackets was taken at Mountain View High School, according to Stafford County School officials. The school division issued a statement this morning noting the photograph was investigated and that “appropriate actions have been taken.”

Over the past year, I’ve knocked on countless doors across Coles District, telling voters, “I’m running for School Board to prioritize our budget and put more money in the classroom to educate our students.” It’s a simple message, but a focus that will improve our School System. As we prioritize our students, we will achieve the results our community deserves.

While our school system does a lot with the resources it has, there are a number of ways we can do better.

Smart Beginnings Greater Prince William (SBGPW), a school readiness initiative established to increase kindergarten readiness received a significant grant of $195,000 from the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

VECF board member, Dr. William C. “Biff” Rees, a pediatrician with Burke Pediatrics presented the grant check to the Smart Beginnings Greater Prince William board of directors. This financial investment supports quality early childhood education and healthy initiatives for young children ages 0 – 5 in Prince William County, the cities of Manassas, and Manassas Park.

Police now say three more men are wanted in connection to a shooting  that occurred Sept. 24, 2015.

In addition to Martin A. BOYCE (arrested Sept. 25), Manassas City Investigators have identified three additional suspects in the Sept. 25 shooting that occurred on Steven Ct. Please see the attached bulletin for more information. All three suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
