An instructor for Tiger Martial Arts Academy in Bristow has been charged with felony child abuse after throwing five-year-old child over his shoulders and then onto the ground resulting in the victim losing consciousness, police said.
Felony Child Abuse – On December 22nd, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at the Tiger Martial Arts Academy located at 10306 Bristow Center Dr in Bristow (20181) on December 21st.

One day not long ago a Dad was getting his daughters ready for school, and he couldn’t figure out why the lunch foods were almost gone. It was only halfway through the week and already they were low on lunch meat.
The next morning he found his daughter making two lunches. When asked what she was doing, she shared that another student’s mom was very ill, and her dad was usually too tired and too busy to make lunch. So this little seven-year-old took it upon herself to start bringing this other student lunch every day. That little seven-year-old girl was my daughter, Olivia, now 14.
Two men are charged with two counts of armed robbery and aggravated malicious wounding during a drug transaction with the 31-year-old victim.
The victim’s friend was also wounded after intervening.
A new bridge on Old Carolina Road in Haymarket is set to open, and that means Old Carolina Road will reopen, too.

A 20-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Aquia Harbour.
Authorities were called to a crash in the gated neighborhood in Stafford County at 12:02 a.m. Saturday. A car traveling on Aquia Drive had run off the road, hit a telephone, and multiple trees, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

An internal audit of the Prince William County Police Department states the county is not a “sanctuary city.”
A WJLA story posted last month stated County police did not properly notify federal Immigration and Customs (ICE) officials when they come across an illegal alien on the street. The report labeled Prince William County as a haven for illegal immigrants in the Washington area.
Olaun Simmons will serve both the towns of Dumfries and Quantico as the Town Attroney.
Simmons is employed by the Town of Dumfries and is paid a part-time salary of $89,144, according to the town budget. Simmons works 32 hours per week at Dumfries.
