From Occoqaun Town Manager Kirstyn Jovanavich:

In partnership with Prince William County and Fairfax Water, the Town will host a grand opening event for River Mill Park in Occoquan on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 am.  The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, a concert by the Ashleigh Chevalier Band, face painting and balloon art with Fairy Jennabelle, a scavenger hunt organized by the Mill House Museum and the Fairfax Water water bar will be on site providing glasses of free water!  In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the park’s development, as well as the history of the site.  The first 300 visitors to the grand opening will receive a free commemorative coin! This event is sponsored by Occoquan town businesses The Polka Dot Divas, Puzzle Pazlooza and Man Overboard.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is celebrating today, announcing the state won a $165 million federal FASTLANE grant to improve transportation along Interstate 95 and 395. 

The 95 E-ZPass Express Lanes will be extended from North Stafford to Fredericksburg as part of the project.

This past weekend the Brentsville baseball team won the regional baseball playoffs at Stafford .  I traveled to the games in Stafford with my wife and was thrilled to see the PWC team win it’s championship.  The team will travel to NORFOLK in a week or so for another championship tournament.  I am enclosing a press release sent to me by the team manager (who is also my grandson).  Can you arrange some press coverage?
