Workhouse Brewfest to return for a third year

More than 30 Virginia craft breweries, artisan distilleries, and Virginia wineries will be on tap at the third annual Workhouse Brewfest on Saturday, August 4, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Workhouse Arts Center in Fairfax County, Virginia (9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079). This event will feature live performances by 12 of the region’s most popular bands, food trucks, access to 12 air-conditioned art galleries and 65 artist studios, craft beer, artisan spirits, and Virginia wine.

James Little missing from the Manassas area of Prince William County

From Prince William police: 

*MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT: The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered adult identified as James LITTLE, age 61, of the Manassas area of Prince William County.  Family members reported to police that James was last seen on April 29, 2018 at a family member’s residence in Stafford. James is believed to be missing under voluntarily circumstances and may need assistance which qualifies him as endangered. He may also be driving a 2013, blue Nissan Pathfinder with Virginia license plates VSC-9194. Anyone with information on this person’s whereabouts is asked to call Prince William County police at 703-792-6500 or your local police department.

Good Morning Prince William – You’re invited to the Out of the Darkness Community Walks planning meeting on Friday May 18th, 6-8pm at Centerfuse in Manassas. There are lots of ways you can help them further their mission of Suicide Prevention. Please email Ellen at: [email protected] to learn more.

·         The Manassas Senior Center is looking for a volunteer to teach crafts to the members of the center each week.  Come share your love of knitting, crocheting, painting, ceramics and such with others. Shots fired into Cherrydale home while owner was away

From police: 

Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling – On May 10 at 12:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Cherrydale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a destruction of property. The caller reported to police that he found a bullet hole in an exterior wall. Upon further investigation, a bullet fragment was located inside the residence on a windowsill. The caller stated that the incident occurred sometime between April 26 and May 10. No injuries or other property damage was reported.
