FREDERICKSBURG — Ticket holders to an upcoming “Gods of Carnage” show at The University of Mary Washington’s Klein Theater today received a notice from theater director Jon Reynolds notifying them something strange may show up on their credit card statements.

Reynolds assured ticket holders their information was not hacked.


PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — (Press Release) On February 3, 2019, the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to investigate a vehicle fire that was involved in a crash and abandoned at the intersection of Grayson Road and Matthews Drive in Woodbridge.

The joint investigation, with the Prince William County Police, involved additional charges related to a stolen vehicle, reckless driving, and a crash. Through the investigation of the vehicle fire, the origin and cause was determined to be arson.

MANASSAS — (Press Release) Here’s the latest police from Manassas police.

Upon arrival officers located an adult female suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim, who was identified as a 26-year-old resident of Manassas, was flown to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

STAFFORD — (Press Release) Crystal Vanuch, a lifelong conservative and resident of Stafford, accepts Supervisor Wendy Maurer’s endorsement to run for the position of Rock Hill Supervisor.

Vanuch, 35, is a proud resident in the Rock Hill District. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Stafford County Planning Commission.  She is President and CEO of a successful public affairs firm based in Stafford, Virginia. Vanuch graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Wesleyan University with a degree in Business.  The general election is scheduled to take place on November 5th, 2019.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) Former Chairman of the Virginia State Board of Social Services, D.J. Jordan, 41, announced his intent to run for the 31st District of the Virginia state House of Delegates in this year’s elections. The district includes parts of Prince William and Fauquier Counties.

“I am excited to announce my campaign for the 31st District of the Virginia House of Delegates,” said Jordan.

RICHMOND — So far this decade, Virginia has grown — and shrunk — in population.

Seventy of the state’s 133 cities and counties gained population between April 1, 2010, and July 1, 2018, according to data released this week by the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia. The population of Loudoun County, in Northern Virginia, jumped 30 percent, to more than 406,000.
