On July 24th at 1:25AM, police responded to the 1800 block of Fort Pulaski Ct in Dumfries (22026) for a domestic. The caller, an 18 year old man of Drumfires, reported to police that a female resident, 36, and a male resident, 31, later identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation. During the encounter the accused grabbed a shotgun and fired several rounds within the residence. The accused then walked to another part of the residence which gave the caller the opportunity to flee the residence and contact police. As police checked the residence the female and the accused were not located but are believed to be in the company of one another. The female is not believed to be in any danger as contact was established with her. A search warrant was executed at the residence and the firearm was recovered. Warrants were obtained against the accused. No injuries were reported.
