The victim was driving west on Va. 630 toward Shelton Shop Road about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when a Jeep pulled up behind the woman and began flashing its lights. The woman came to the intersection at Shelton Shop Road and turned left, and the Jeep followed her. The victim turned right onto Walt Wittman Boulevard in the Shelton Run subdivision, said Stafford sheriff’s department spokesman Bill Kennedy.

The victim stopper her car and the Jeep pulled up behind her. The woman got out and walked up the Jeep and saw a male in the driver’s seat and woman, who was crying hysterically, in the passenger’s seat screaming “why are you doing this,” said Kennedy.

The Stafford County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously denied an application from WGRQ-FM to erect a tower at 494 Hollywood Farm Road in Stafford’s George Washington District, relocating the tower from neighboring King George County.

After taking an extended period of time to look into the proposed tower, George Washington District Supervisor Bob Thomas sided with a handful of residents who spoke out against the tower at two public hearings in the last month. The freshman supervisor was concerned about the impact the tower would have on current homes and on ones yet to be built.
