NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — They put it off before but it had to get going again at some point.
Virginia transportation officials are warning drivers to expect daytime closures on Interstate 95 in the area of Quantico Marine Corps Base this week. The work is to repair a slope along the highway and it’s not considered a part of the larger effort to bring I-95 Express toll lanes to North Stafford.
Today is the day C.D. Hylton High School football standout E.J. Levenberry will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on national TV.
The game will be seen at 1 p.m. today on NBC (channel 4 in the Washington area, channel 12 in the Richmond area) and it features 90 of the best high school athletes in the country.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Cold temperatures have forced the closure of some Prince William County schools faculties.
Officials said the PACE East and Independent Hill schools are both without water or heat following a water main break.
The Washington Redskins are headed back to the playoffs this weekend after clinching the NFC East Division Title with a win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins will face the Seattle Seahawks – a team they last faced and lost to in the playoffs in 2007.
