A public viewing will take place tonight at the Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge at 6 p.m. A public funeral will be held at the chapel on Friday morning.
MANASSAS PARK, Va. — The Manassas Park Community Center has reopened today.
A water main break in the area had forced the closure of the center last night.

STAFFORD, Va. — Students in Stafford County went back to school for the first time Wednesday after a long winter break.
Waiting to greet them was a new directive from county Sheriff Charles E. Jett which will bring a increased presence of sheriff’s deputies in schools. Now, every deputy in Stafford County has been instructed to stop into schools located along their beat. Their mission: get to know students, faculty, staff, and build a stronger relationship with the educational community.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A window was shot out at R. Dean Kilby Elementary School over the weekend.
School officials said the shooting happened sometime between Friday night and early Saturday.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Better late than never. A Woodbridge couple welcomed the first baby of 2013 born at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.
The child was born the Woodbridge hospital not on New Year’s Day, but today.
