Michael Lee Damon, age 66, of Manassas, VA, passed away on May 29, 2017. Beloved husband of 41 years to Wanda Damon. Loving father of Amanda Damon and Andrew Damon. Dear brother of Cathy Mosser (Gary) and Debra Butler. Cherished uncle of Jacob Mosser, Brenda Mosser, Tara Cahoon (Thomas). Great uncle of Maggie, Hayden, Tucker, and Lexie Cahoon. Son-in-law of Glynn and Betty Plybon. Brother-in-law of Arlene Plybon. He was the devoted son of the late Howard "Lee" Damon and Margaret "Peggy" Damon.
Mike was a graduate of Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. He worked for Safeway Foods for over 40 years. His generosity and kindness had no limits. His love of a good cigar and bourbon was exceeded only by his love for family and friends. He found his greatest joy in knowing others were enjoying life as much as he did. Mike was a member of Prince of Peace United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Prince of Peace United Methodist Church, 6299 Token Forest Drive, Manassas, VA 20112 at 1:00 PM.
