Dumfries declares state of emergency for blizzard

Information on the state of emergency declared by the Town of Dumfries.

From the town staff:

“As a result of the high probability of a significant snow event in the Dumfries area extending from Friday, January 22 – Sunday, January 24, 2016, a snow emergency has been declared in the Town of Dumfries.  The snow emergency will begin at 5PM on Friday, and extend through 5PM Sunday, unless conditions change that will either lengthen or shorten the Snow Emergency Declaration.  Vehicles parked in violation are subject to ticketing and towing.  Residents are encouraged to check the Town Website and to follow local media for updates.”
