Potomac Local has more information on yesterday’s house fire in Manassas.
Around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, Prince William fire and rescue were called to the single family home on Manassas Forge Drive.
When responders arrived, they saw fire and smoke coming from the roof, according to Prince William fire and rescue.
Firefighters were able to put out the flames, and no one was injured.
According to Prince William fire and rescue, the homeowners were home when the fire occurred and earlier that day they smelled smoke and searched the home, but could find nothing.
Later when they were in the backyard, they saw the smoke and flames coming from the attic and called 9-1-1, stated Prince William fire and rescue.
Two adults have been displaced by the fire.
A Building Inspector came to the home and has declared it unsafe. The Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
