HAYMARKET, Va. – On August 6, a homeowner told police of two separate incidents of burglary where a game console and accessories, as well as multiple watches were stolen by an intruder. According to the report, the intruder entered the home through a basement door.

Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 5:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Ashby Grove Lp in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45PM on August 4th and 5:30AM on August 5th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured basement door. A gaming console and related equipment, total value around $670, were reported missing. The homeowner further reported to police that the same residence was entered on July 31st between 7:30AM and 2:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Multiple watches, total value around $2,300, were reported missing during that incident.
