Scott Lee Peterson, 54, of Triangle, VA passed away peacefully on July 1, 2014, at Virginia Hospital Center after a brief illness.
Scott was born on July 18, 1959 in Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Betty Peterson and is survived by his twin sister, Heidi Peterson of Woodbridge, VA and his life partner, Duke Fancher of Arlington, VA.
Scott was a 1978 graduate of Gar-Field High School where he was a member of the concert choir and very active in school sports. During his school years he taught and played the organ and was a frequent substitute organist at the Quantico Base Chapel, and for the FBI religious services at Quantico. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid baseball fan.
Scott graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He retired as a marketing executive in 2011.
There will be no viewing or funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held in his honor at a later date. Inurnment of his ashes will be private.
Donations in memory of Mr. Peterson may be sent to the Virginia Hospital Center, Cancer Center, 1701 N. George Mason Drive, Arlington, VA. 22205.
