Thanksgiving Sunrise Over Aquia Harbour

By Potomac Local News
Published November 29, 2013 at 12:36PM | Updated January 18, 2017 at 8:39PM
The sun rises over treetops on a chilly Thanksgiving morning in Aquia Harbour. Although not visible in this image, Comet ISON is just to the right of the sun, reaching its perihelion, the point in the orbit where it is nearest to the sun, on Thanksgiving Day. It was part of the comet's long journey from the Oort Cloud. [Photo by: KJ Mushung/Potomac Local News]
