WOODBRIDGE, Va. — School buses cannot leave Potomac View Elementary School in Woodbridge this afternoon.
School officials said all students are safe but a fire in a nearby neighborhood has blocked off the routes out of the school.
Parents with students at the school are encouraged to check its website.
Fire officials tell us a small fire broke out in a living room at a home in the nearby Bayvue apartment complex. The large fire response is most likely the reason why some streets may still be blocked.
“It was nothing major, but this is a standard response for an incident like this,” said Prince William fire and rescue Battalion Chief Curtis Brodie.
