Alcohol, speed factors in fatal crash

Woodbridge, Va. –– A Dumfries man was killed this morning after he was partially ejected from his SUV.

Police were called to a crash at 2:44 a.m. in the area of U.S. 1 and River Heritage Boulevard in Woodbridge.

Investigators found the driver of a 1996 GMC Jimmy lost control of the SUV while traveling east on River Heritage Boulevard.  The SUV entered a spin, the driver lost control and was partially ejected from the vehicle, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police say. Alcohol and speed were also factors in the crash, police said.

Nana Kwadwo Nsiah, 24, has been identified as the victim.
