WOODBRIDGE, Va. — It turns out a man who told police he was run over and dragged while walking in the area of Colchester Road and Walnut Street in Woodbridge actually jumped onto a car himself, police said. Now the man who was a victim in this case is wanted for filing a false police report.

Filing a False Police Report – On July 24th, Crash Unit investigators obtained charges in
Guevara
connection to a felony hit and run crash which was reported in the area of Walnut St and Colchester Rd in Woodbridge on July 15th.
Through the investigation, investigators learned that the victim, identified as GUEVARA, intentionally jumped onto the hood of a vehicle being driven by his friend, ARROYO ALEAGA. During the incident, the GUEVARA fell from the vehicle and was subsequently run over.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he then reported to police that a black Impala, driven by an unknown man, had struck him and fled. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against both the victim and his friend.
The accused, ARROYO ALEAGA, has since been arrested and an active warrant remains on file for the victim, now the accused, GUEVARA.
