The kitchen at Bungalow Alehouse in Woodbridge was cooking up food for members of the restaurant staff Tuesday night.
They, along with neighbors of the restaurant and lounge on Prince William Parkway, had been invited to opening night before the official opening night.
Bungalow plans to open to the public Thursday, after it acquires its license from the state’s ABC Board.
“It takes a lot of team work and it takes a great staff, and without their help we wouldn’t have been able to get where we are today,” said Bungalow manager Mike Halcomb.
The restaurant occupies what was a Don Pablos Mexican restaurant which closed more than a year ago.
The Bungalow Alehouse, which has locations in Springfield and Gainesville and three others in Northern Virginia, offers its customers a place eat and spend time in a relaxing setting.
There are six pool tables, a full bar where they’re be 24 beers on tap, and video games to boot.
And the menu, we hear the crab cake is their signature dish and has been developed by Bungalow’s new executive chef who has put an emphasis on fresh ingredients – more so now than when the first Bungalow Alehouse opened 13-years ago, said Halcomb.
While the ladies will be welcomed every Thursday, there will also be a night for employees who work in the service industry, every Sunday.
They’ll have a wing night on Mondays, and will offer four 4-once beers served up on a tray on Wednesdays for “flight night.”
