Governor, Redskins to be in Woodbridge

Gov. Robert F. McDonnell

Woodbridge, Va. –– Gov. Robert F. McDonnell will appear in Woodbridge on Thursday as the Redskins donate a new fitness facility to a local school.

The state’s top official and his wife, Maureen, will be on hand when the Redskins Charitable Foundation and GlaxoSmithKline donate the ‘Redskins Youth Fitness Zone” at Fred M. Lynn Middle School, at 1650 Prince William Parkway.

The event will take place at 3:30 p.m., according to McDonnell spokeswoman Stacey Johnson.

The school opened in 1964 and has about 900 students in attendance.

When it comes to physical fitness students at the school scored 91 percent in the aerobics category, faring better in that category than those of abdominal exercises, flexibility and upper body strength, according to the school’s website.
